Lali (meaning “little darling” in Hindi) embodies the magic of girlhood, representing the universal happy moments experienced by generations of little girls. The Lali concept was born from nostalgia, inspired by a childhood shared between India and the United States. Early memories of bright, colorful silk saris and warm, aromatic fabric shops were what let Lali to be founded in 2013 by Kinnari McDevitt.

The felt pom poms on our Lali products are made by women in Nepal, who built small businesses making these simple little pom poms to be able to support themselves and their families, and moving the Nepali economy. Their super lovely bow hair clips are recycled, made out of the scrap fabrics from other Lali products!
